When you gotta go, you gotta go!

It is a tradition that leads back to the days when Randy and I dated, that he has a Bob the Builder candle holder on his birthday cakes. (He was a Building Construction and Contracting major back then.)

When I cleaned out some kitchen drawers this weekend, the kids found it and started playing with it.

So, yesterday, Charlotte brought it to me saying, "Poop, poop!" as only her sweet baby mouth can say! So I said, "Oh, did Bob poop?" She nodded that he had, as she pointed to his feet.

She left the room, and returned a few minutes later with the same "Poop, poop," which she indicated Bob had done. And again, she left.

So after a couple of times of this, I went to find out where she was going when she left the room. I found her in my bathroom dipping Bob into the toilet as she exclaimed, "Poop, poop!"

I did not stop for a picture, but began to furiously wash her hands!

I'm not sure Randy will want that on birthday cakes in the future!

Amber Sapp Photography

So, I was asked to do a photo shoot last week--my first "official" photo shoot with someone other than my kids displaying "permagrin."

I've started a photography blog, aptly titled, "Amber Sapp Photography." Check it out at: www.ambersappphotography.blogspot.com

With fall rolling in, I love to shoot outdoor photos of kiddos in the leaves and at the park...so, if you'd like some photos done of your cute kiddos, let me know. I'd love the practice and some new material...my kids are sick of being blinded by the flash!

Did I mention she likes to snack?

I found Charlotte with this yesterday:

I was cooking dinner when I heard the unmistakable rustle of a potato chip bag. Of course, before I yanked them out of her hands, I snapped a picture! Does that send a mixed message?

Look at that face!

This is my new favorite picture of Charlotte! She has the sweetest smile and the sparkliest eyes! I even love the drool hanging off her chin!

Oil...its not just for cooking anymore!

So, I had a little paint project going on today. It only required a tiny jar of white paint.

Randy picked out the paint at Lowe's and neglected to mention that it was an oil-based enamel.

I'm a water-based paint kinda girl.

So, I completed the project and went to rinse out my brush in my NEW sink WITH my hands, and guess what? It did not come off.

Not only did it not come off, my hands now look like I have some type of rare albino issue that makes my hands sticky like Spider-man's. Apparently sinks are also suceptible to the disease.

I called my wise, builder husband by using a paper towel to dial the numbers AND hold the phone. He tells me to put gasoline on them...yes, gasoline!

I immediately decided that this was not an option. I had visions of me igniting while cooking dinner, but mostly I didn't want to smell bad!

Instead I started thinking..."oil-based"..."oil"..."massage oil!"

And it did the trick...a handfull or two of massage oil that smells 'oh, so like the beach'! It was way better than gasoline!

That's my tip of the day: use massage oil to get off oil-based paint!

Garrett's 1st Soccer Game!

Let's see if I can sum it all up in a few words:

It was hot.

He had 11 of his own spectators.

He found it hilarious to roll around on the field. During the game.
Daddy is the assistant coach.

There was snack involved.

Sister brought a tea set...which was calling his name.

His lunch bag was also calling his name.

He did "not want to play soccer."

Oh yeah, he looked so cute in his #2 jersey!
